The stunning highlight of this years late spring trip to Israel were the Honey Buzzards. The following are a selection of the near 130,000+ birds seen during the trip with tens of thousands through the Eilat Mountains, and hundreds to thousands along the valley with lots coming down to drink at various locations.
The below shows the variability of the plumages.
This is one of the wonders of the birding world and every dedicated birder should witness this spectacle at least once in their lifetime, it takes your breath away.
