Bluetails

Over the years I've seen a number of Bluetails; Suffolk, Scilly, Shetland, 8 on Fair Isle and of course the famous Winspit Valley bird.

A number of these were real star performers and those on the remote islands were amongst the most obliging, at times I was the only birder present at Shetland and Fair Isle birds.

I have a particular fondness for Bluetails and I hope to one day add one to my finders list, if I keep going to Fair Isle in October I have to be in with a shout.

The four birds here represent amongst the most memorable of recent individuals.
