Collared Flycatcher - Sumburgh Head, Shetland 21-09-2015

The thing with Collared Flycatchers is that everyone wants to see a spring male in all of it's Black and White Glory, i have seen two myself in the UK, however this winter plumage male in Shetland in autumn 2015 just broke that mold and I can confidently say it was one of the best to be seen in the UK.

It arrived on light south easterlies with a whole bunch of Yellow-browed Warblers and went on to perform very well, albeit it increasingly deteriotrating weather conditions.

These are amongst the best I could get in the low light.
