White's Thrushes - Fair Isle autumn 2020

This is the first autumn I have been here when more than one White's Thrush has turned up. The first gave everyone the run around before I finally gave itself up. I continued to search for the bird long after after everyone else had left and I eventually mamaged to track it down where careful crawling up the hill allowed me to get to within a few feet of it offering near full frame images.

The second was found in the north whilst I was in the far south and it would be a long walk up there but it's a White's Thrush and one cannot say no. It was in the Walli Burn and was flighty in deteriorating weather conditions by the time I arrived and whilst I saw it briefly several times on the deck I only managed the inflight image below.

So I have now see 5 of the 6 White's Thrush that have been on the island this decade and I have seen 6 in total but never get tired of this King of the Sibe's.
